Does anyone know if Fordham is finished extending interview invites for Clinical Ph.D.?

Also, does anyone know if The George Washington University has started their interview process for Clinical Ph.D.?

I applied to GWU and I haven't heard anything as of yet. I figured they would be interviewing rather early, but I guess I was wrong. I don't know much about their admission/interview process.

I forgot to mention the interview day is March 2nd

BU is completely done offering interviews. Spoke with them today.

How about umass-boston? Has anyone else heard anything? I called today and they said they were presently notifying people.

I haven't heard from any schools this week...

Has anyone heard from CUNY in the last few days? Apparently there was going to be another round of interview invites sent out by January 5th.

Any word from Columbia?

oh I did hear from Waterloo and Suffolk but I mentioned those earlier.

Anyone hear from Marquette (clinical) or Univ. of Minnesota (Counseling)?

The clock is ticking, especially if interviews are next Friday. Here's hoping it's not too late.

I emailed GWU. I got an "automated" response within the hour. It said

"...you will be notified of your selection / rejection for interview by the second week of March."

I went to the interview at GWU last year. The invitation went out very late. (late Feb...if I remember correctly.) Interviews with 2 profs and 1 grad student. It was fairly short which was great! Other schools having it 9 am-5pm.... Why so long? 😳

Well, thats good to hear. Were the interviews very formal or was it more of a personality assessment type of thing 🙂 ? I really don't know what to expect from them.

Since the prof who I wanted to work with just told me that he is RETIRING soon....and so that he might not be taking any students....😱 He did most of the talking....his current projects, etc. But the other prof I talked was very formal. He asked many questions about my future goals.

But overall, it's a very small program and felt comfortable. Hope it helps.

The clinical health program at Yeshiva began to extend invitations by phone.

I just got a call from the secretary at Duke offering me an interview on 2/19 (Monday) so good luck to all those who applied to Duke!

Irish, that is awesome!!!! I like to think you're getting some extra admission's karma for managing this thread!

lol, thanks! I was quite surprised by it, I thought it would be a rejection for sure 🙂. It will be a lot of fun going down and seeing that campus, I have heard it is amazing!

Thank you Amy, I appreciate it. Good luck to you and everyone else. I look forward to posting your many interview invites 🙂. It has been fun and I have enjoyed it, so I really can't take too much credit for it 🙂. I just can't wait to see where we all end up!

Yale just sent out a mass email telling everyone to check their status on the online application.

Rejected!

Any word from Columbia?[/QUOTE]

My POI from Columbia (Clinical) contacted me yesterday to ask me to send another copy of my personal statement, as he couldn't open the one attached to my application. Oops. 🙂 It was SOME contact, at least. Word is they will be letting people know about interviews the first two weeks of February.

Interviews are scheduled for March 16, and they hope to start inviting people in mid-February.

You can add CIIS (PsyD) to the list. I received an interview invite this week.

I'm not sure if this has been posted, although I'm sure it has... but I just got off the phone with Washington State and the woman I talked to said they were in the process of calling and the interviews would be 2/16. Probably redundant, but I have to do SOMETHING to keep myself from becoming a basket case!

can someone please, please give more info on the mass email? where did it direct you to check status..on the applyonline form??

i did not get that email and am DESPERATELY waiting to hear back from my interviewer as this is my dream match

i clicked on my app and there was no status update..ahhhhhhhh im terrified

It was an email with the link to the online app... Then at the bottom of the page a nice little link to the decision. Maybe you didn't get an email because you will be getting the big envelope!

at the bottom of the first page it takes you to when you log in? what does it say? ahhh im freaking out!!

congrats on the interview..would u wanna say who its with?

Hey, me too! I just got off the phone with the admissions person extending the interview. Man am I glad I answered the phone even though it said number unavailable!!

California Institue of Integral Studies is having 2 interview dates: February 19 and March 2. I am going Feb 19 at 10am. Manzanita, when are you going? And congrats!

Umm, yeah. I would think SOMEONE on this board would have an interview by now. Weird. I know we've griped about UMass Boston at length but the lack of movement from them, as it were, is a little disconcerting.

Congrats on the interviews you already have, Zbomb!

And congrats to everyone else! I think we're all holding up very well, considering.👍

i called UMass Boston today, and the woman who i spoke to told me that if applicants haven't heard anything by Feb. 9 (the first interview date), then they can safely assume they are out of the running...

that was very helpful, right?! the wait goes on...

'nother Yale reject here. 8,000 applicants though...thats nuts. Wonder if that was for all grad programs or just psychology programs. Either way thats crazy. Good luck anonymousplease. Even getting an interview there is an accomplishment.

I am still deciding between the two dates.
Does anyone have any suggestions on whether or not to pick the earliest interview date? Does going early give you an advantage? Thanks for any help!

nope..i love the mentor and am on pins and needles times a million..nothing new🙂

the good news today was a duke interview phone call, im psyched about that bc i love nc. im a lil bummed about bu rejection..bc i love boston.

Yale accepted three people this year - two for Kim-Cohen, and one for Kazdin. I assume that the three people haven't accepted yet, so there may be some alternate people still in the running. (I'm not one of those people as I applied to Mennin 😉). All of this info is courtesy of a friend who is a current student there.

Ahh good to know. Makes me feel better...although if I had to be rejected from somewhere it hurts least comming from Yale.

Thanks for the Yale info. I applied for someone else so at least that person didn't take anyone! It's frustrating though as they said they were going to, but this is how those things work! Too bad the application fee is so high!

I seriously doubt 8,000 applied for the clinical psychology program. Probably about 300-400.

Congrats on the Duke interview, Irish. Good luck!

apparently, that happens all the time, with profs saying they are going to take a student and then not..happened to my friend at PSU

Yes, it is very common. Just a reminder that you can't take a rejection personally as it could be due to factors outside of your control like the politics of who is taking.

I'm sorry, I don't have any specific information on that, but I would imagine it would be within the next few days.
