Has anyone heard from Central Michigan? Anyone else applied there?

Called the grad secretary last week and she said that they would make final invite decisions yesterday. I haven't heard anything yet, but it's hard not to be too anal and expect them to invite everyone on the day that they decide.

Waiting sucks kids!!!

I also applied to central michigan, but I have not heard anything. I will let you know if I do. You can always call again and see if the invites have been extended!

Hey everyone,
I see that UIC is bolded on the list. However, in checking the posts I can't seem to find someone that actually recieved an invite. Ad UIC is one of my top choices, I would love any info that you all have--when you got the invite, how, who you want to work with, anything. Thanks!

Nova has extended me a PsyD interview via email. You can update them on the list.

I just spoke with the grad secretary at Central Michigan. Emails went out yesterday for people who were selected for interviews and official letters were sent in the mail today. So, she said that if you did not receive an email yesterday then there is a good chance you were not selected for an interview. 🙁

Hey I have a question for you all..I am planning a spring break vacation right now (it's the last chance in 5 years and I've saved the money) but I don't want to be gone over any potential interview dates and I still have 5 schools that haven't extended invites. Does anyone know what the latest possible dates for interviews are? Specifically if anyone knows about Kansas, North Texas, or Baylor dates that would be great..My trip is March 17-23 so I think I should be ok but I don't want to take any risks...thanks for your opinions!

With regards to Kansas, do you mean regular clinical or child clinical? The child clinical interviews are Feb 26 and March 4. I'm not sure about the adult.

Just spoke to the admissions office at Rutgers and they will be extending interview offers on Feb 12th by email and mail.

also, anyone know if gwu is finished offering interviews for their clinical psyd program?

Argh. It is damn near impossible to find anyone at the U of Arizona who knows if all the clinical interviews have gone out yet. lol

As far as I know, they haven't sent out invitations yet...I don't know where the info on the list came from. It might be a good idea to email someone in graduate admissions. Let us know if you find anything out!

Damn 😡

Thanks for calling though. I appreciate that.

Did anybody else receive a personalized schedule for interview day on Friday at Texas Tech University? If so, PM me...I have a quick question.
Thanks

Hey all,

I got a phone call last night for a group interview at Adelphi. Interviews are being held Feb. 26 through March 9.

Just spoke to the admissions office at Rutgers and they will be extending interview offers on Feb 12th by email and mail.

You must mean the psyD program.. right?

Edited to add: Of course that's what you mean! D'oh!

Spoke to grad. admissions today...

Sending out invites via SNAIL MAIL (can you believe it!?!) this week or next.

I was actually amazed this time when I received my first email--I assumed they were all snail mail. 😀 But, now that everything has been online/email/phone this cycle, I'm amazed that anyone uses snail mail. Go figure.

UTexas Southwest sent me a thanks but no thanks email for the clinical phD, mentioning their masters in rehab counseling program as an alternative.🙁

Hi all,

Just found out about this site during an interview last weekend...i'm afraid that I'm going to get hooked!!

Does anyone know anything about interviews for the University of Delaware? Also, do we know if Fordham, U. Rochester and U. Pittsburgh are finished sending out invites?

Thanks!!

Pitt's interview weekend is Feb 16-18, so I'd assume they've finished sending out invites, but I don't have any official word or anything...

I take it you decided to go--great!

G'luck! :luck:

GWU has extended all interviews 🙁

0 for 2

did you find this out by calling them? i checked my application online and it still says "CCAS3-Your application is under review". I am just trying to hold on to any hope left!

I am new to this... but have been very pleased to read so many kind messages.

I am too awaiting to hear back from 15 schools!!! Yikes. Is there an update on the clinical phd programs for these two schools?

Yea, I just spoke with the graduate admissions secretary and she told me they have extended all the interviews they would like to.

Liliofthevalley, if by clinical ph.d you mean GWU's Psy.d program: then yes, read the above postings.

boo. then sadly i am also 1 for 3 out of 10. although, with a looming interview, i may soon be 2 for 4!

One of my fellow interns at the counseling center that I work at is a doc student at UNT's counseling psych program. I can e-mail her to ask -- are you applying for clinical or counseling?

Baylor usually has interviews early to mid-March, so you might be cutting it close.

With regards to Kansas, do you mean regular clinical or child clinical? The child clinical interviews are Feb 26 and March 4. I'm not sure about the adult.

I meant adult clinical..all the website says is sometime in march

I believe I got that one in a PM but I unfortunately cleaned out my PMs just today! Assume for now that they may not be done because I think there are enough people on this board that you will hear about it. I also may have just made a mistake. Just keep your eyes open and I promise to do the same.

I am confused. Has GW sent out all PhD or PsyD invites?

I agree with the above confusion---GWU has both a Psy.D. and a Ph.D. Clinical Program. Which program has finished interview invites?

Just called the admissions secretary.

She said that she believes the invites for Fordham's Ph.D. (Clinical) are going out this week. I believe someone on this board has already got an invite, but perhaps this means there are more.

good luck

Yikes! She didn't happen to say by email or phone? Thanks! Good luck too🙂

I received an informational e-mail for SLU this afternoon. It details their timeline for making decisions and holding interviews. According to the e-mail, "We anticipate completing the review of all files by February 26th. Should you receive an invitation to interview for admission to the program, you will be notified on or about February 28th." It also notes the dates for the interviews: March 8th, 9th, or 10th.

As a sidenote, I thought it was very kind of them to send out such an e-mail, especially with Spring Breaks and such coming up. But I do wish the subject line had included something like, "JUST INFORMATION NO INVITES NO REJECTIONS JUST INFORMATION" so my heart could have been saved several skipped beats.😉

Damn, they're not giving you guys much notice, are they? Yippee, I'm being interviewed. Boo hoo, now I have to make travel arrangements for a week from now! 😱

Fordham Clinical PhD interviews are 2/7, 2/9, 2/12, and 2/15.

This is such a good idea! Why the heck don't more schools do this? It would save them having to field so many phone calls and answering the same questions over and over!

I just received a call from my POI at University of Nevada-Reno for an interview. It is on 3/3 and 3/4.

Are you saying those are the Clinical PhD interview dates and no one else is invited? Or are you just giving the board the dates?
I don't know if there are more invites. I received mine by email on 1/29 and those were the listed dates. It was a general email with a note from my POI.

What does POI mean? Also, I asked this pages back, but to whoever got an interview invite from Ball State U's counseling psych program, when did you hear from them? (I'm just curious even though I'm 100% sure I'm rejected). I'm waiting on Buffalo as well, but I applied to their combined counseling/school psych program and their application deadline was February 1st. Congrats to those who have already received offers! I'm in that anxious waiting stage.

GWU has sent out all interviews for the Psy.D program

hope that helped to relieve some disappointment?

POI

It's a food in Hawaii:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poi_(food)

But, in this world, it's "Person of Interest". (The faculty member you applied to work under).

Hi all. Has anyone applied to or heard anything about the following programs?

Eastern Michigan U
Idaho State U
Marshall U
U of Utah
U of Montana

I am awaiting invites or rejections from them and haven't seen anything about them on the forum. Any info would be helpful! Thanks.😕

The second wave of interviews at Catholic University is starting. I just got a call from my POI inviting me on February 19th and 20th (it may have been or, I hope so) so I just thought I would throw that out there. I will update the list later tonight.

Edit: BIG OOPS! I read your post wrong--read Western Michigan rather than Eastern. I'm getting too darned impatient!

Just joined; I didn't even realize this board existed, and I'm in shell shock a bit (thought I still had a chance at BU... ha!).

I got an invitation from UPenn (which doesn't seem to be on the master list) approximately a week ago via e-mail. Anyone know anything more about the GW PhD, UVA (Clinical PhD, not Curry), or UConn? UPenn's my number one, but a backup would be nice in case they decide they don't like me 🙂

UConn's already sent out interview requests--They had two interview dates, one towards end of January & one mid-Feb (next week, I think).

Edit: To add, I believe some earlier posters indicated that GW & UVA interviews had gone out as well.
