Hey there everyone! Figured I'd start this thread since I recently started preparing for the June 18th MCAT. For those of you who are taking the June 2nd MCAT, June 18th MCAT, or still considering one of those two dates, feel free to post here with any questions, comments, concerns, or support you have to offer!

Good luck to you all! Let's crush it.

Bro just 103,870 seconds left until scores could be available. Just 1,731 minutes until we could know which direction our life is headed. Just 28 hours until we could drop down on our knees and either cry tears of joy or tears of sadness...

I know!!!!! Ufff, Few more hours to go!! Good Luck My June 2nders!!!

Something I'm really looking forward to after getting my scores is my family members can finally stop telling me I'm "smart" and did fine. I get that they are trying to be reassuring but they have no idea how any of this works. They questioned why I was even studying.
I feel your pain! I hate that pressure!

My schedule is pretty screwy right now so I probably won't be awake when the actual score release happens, but want to remind everyone to take a deep breath. Better or worse, life goes on, take it from someone who failed out of two schools.

Also if everyone could try to quote their initial reaction post with their results, that'd be interesting to see and avoid a lot of the questions I usually see pop up in these threads.

Yeah, you'd all better post your aamc scored FL score along with your score if you are able to process thoughts at that point. You know how much that helps! 😉 Good luck guys, I'm really sending you all good vibes. I have faith that you'll all score well.

Yes please! And if you could also include how you felt after the test (if you can recall), that'd be amazing. Good luck!!

Does the score just pop up under "Most Recent Exams" or do you have to click another link before viewing it? I just want to be mentally prepared...

For some reason I'm thinking I got 506. Probably because that's the score I would be most conflicted with whether to retake or not.

No matter what happens guys, we're still here and we're still gonna be doctors one day. I look at what's happening in the world and I feel lucky that I'm able to worry about my MCAT.
I have faith in you guys!!!! I know you'll get amazing scores. 🙂

For all my friends waiting for their scores to come out, AAMC usually announces via twitter that the scores have been posted. For all the tests since April 1st, only two tests have been posted within 10-15 minutes of 8 am CST. The rest have been posted within 30 minutes of 3 pm CST. I'm sure the pattern will continue for this test. Take it easy, enjoy your day and Eid Mubarak to all of my Muslim friends celebrating (Basically the Christmas equivalent holiday for those guys). Just remember that it is not the end of the world if the score you get isn't what you needed to get in. Pick yourself up and try again. It's too late to give up. Even if this means take an extra year off, it will be worth it.

Agree x 100.

P.S. Thanks for acknowledging us Muslims 🙂

Can somebody from here please, please, please PM me when scores are released? I don't have Twitter and will be at work without my phone all day, but I get SDN message notifications to my work email.

Edit: my current boss is super uptight and will dismiss me if I have AAMC.com open all day. They check the work computer history logs. I'll just save my lunch break and take it when I see the email from SDN

Yep I'm not getting my score today so I won't be freaking out (with joy like all of the other posters here!!). I'll pm you!

In class for a grand total of 7 hours today and I can't pay attention for ****. The day is about to feel longer than this whole past month

Funny how we all managed to make it from June 2 until now without [major] mental breakdowns, yet I don't know if I can wait another few hours. I've been hammering the refresh button, turned on AAMC MCAT Twitter account notifications, and checking this site like a madman. Sending out good vibes to everyone awaiting their scores today!

Anyone else CAN'T BREATHE UNTIL SCORES COME OUT please give me score I beg you AAMC

Agreed. In the last couple hours, my anxiety has transferred from wanting a 510+ to simply wanting a SCORE. Cmon AAMC let them numbers pop up! Anything is fine, as long as it begins with a 5

I am finger-crossing that AAMC made a mistake and released my scores today so I don't have to go through this nervous breakdown for another week and a half. LOL

Just a 5/14 MCAT test taker coming to commiserate with you guys. I definitely feel your pain. We were tortured until 3pm on 6/14. I almost thought I was going to get a stomach ulcer waiting for that score. Good luck everyone, and I hope your scores exceed your expectations! 🙂

Were you the one someone tweeted Aamc for? OMG, it was torture. God will help you all get good news!

Just got verified today so that's either a good sign or the universe is giving me a consolation prize 😵. This might be the most torturous day of my life.

Surprisingly, I don't feel as bad as I did before I got my SAT scores. Nerves must have worn off a bit over the years

No, LOL. That wasn't me, but I thought it was pretty hilarious. LinkedIn is actually the only social media account that I have (unless SDN counts).
I feel that we can all file a class action lawsuit for any MCAT-induced stomach cancer cases that we experience decades from now.

Someone on the reddit reaction thread posted this compilation of times:
"So the score release times for the last 6 MCAT dates (according to the AAMC Twitter account) were 3:10p, 3:07p, 8:12a, 3:09p, 8:57a, and 3:14p"

so you guys are likely looking at a 3pm release time, so go get some ice cream or something and take your mind off of it!

So does that mean that ours will be released early? Sweet!

Interesting tweet by the AAMC explaining why it takes so long to get scores back. I mean we basically already knew this... But you know.

Are those Eastern or Central times?

AAMC is one of the most inconsiderate companies I've ever met. Even when collegeboard had a monopoly over all SAT exams at least they'd release the scores at midnight like normal people. AAMC just wants us to suffer as much as possible because they make so much god damn money.

Still doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. If the "curve" is predetermined based on difficulty like everyone says, then wouldn't scoring be pretty cut and dry? Unless they also factor the results of the particular testing day into the "curve"? I don't know. I also wonder if they account for things like the effect of having a really difficult c/p on your performance for the rest of the test. I'd like to think that they account for all of these things in terms of determining overall difficulty of a test version. The world may never know.

Haha same! I actually find the whole scoring system really interesting. I wonder how often they get people threatening lawsuits and challenging the validity of their scores. I hate the fact that you don't know how many or what questions you got wrong.

Ditto, I only have linkedin and this, but I refreshed the twitter page every so often for updates that day.

What yall think: If you had the chance to get a score - say a 508- right after the test (independently of how you did), would you take it? Or would you go thru waiting a month to see if you get a higher (or lower) score the normal way
