Yay for being done with shelf exams FOREVER! (Unless you point out that the shelf is made up of step 2 questions... but if you do that, I might bite you).

Yes. I'll find out where I'll be for neuro tomorrow. Then I'm at St. Mary's for OB/GYN.
 
What all do you have to bring for the exam? Hopefully they give tongue depressors and glove?? Rooms have oto/optho scopes??

there are q-tips, tongue depressors, gloves, and there actually is an oto/optho scope in the room, but I still used my own cuz that's what I'm used to.

I'm of course at Columbia starting today, then the VA in June. As you are aware, I have lectures on Wednesdays. That'll probably be the best time, especially if you're at Froedtert for neuro.

the new carpeting is....questionable. doesn't really seem to match the rest of the paintjob/wallpaper.

He's actually on vacation until May 6th, so it's just Dr. Pettit and Dr. Nieto until then. I want vacation.

great. it's going to tear at ever fashionable fiber in my body. they just tore down the wallpaper in my building today. the guys working esp like the cardboard temporary ceiling we have. we had a good laugh when i got home this afternoon. the roof was supposed to be fixed asap pending weather. well, the weather's been nice, and the roof guys have only been here one morning, and it definitely still leaked afterwards, so they didn't complete the job. anyway, not my problem. the wallpaper guys have been waiting, and apparently they didn't want to wait any longer.

oh my gosh that's where you guys live? do you and agent splat live together? there's no ceiling??????? that's crazy! and even worse (LOL!) they don't know how to decorate? agent splat, what colors are they using and stuff?? I could totally do better i'm sure! 😎

Wow, um, okay, so suddenly we're on Trading Spaces...okay. The wallpaper is sort of a beige-ish tannish color with a hatched sort of texture. Not sure how else to put it. But it's a very light tannish or so. I think. The doors are painted a sage green of sorts, and it goes well with the walls. the new carpet is pretty much black with interwoven brown spots. It's too dark for the walls and it really contrasts way too much.

and no, April and I do not live together, which is good because I have a ceiling and wouldn't trade it for the world. But we are at the same complex--Normandy Village about 10 minutes away from school in morning traffic.

And really, I don't mean to scare people away from Normandy. It's just that fixing a roof takes time. And when it snows at the beginning of April, things tend to get behind.

well, yeah. that's why we didn't get them this year. they're still working on that aspect of it.

personally I'd be annoyed if I was given a phone/PDA thing and was expected to use it as such. most people come into school with cell phones already and it seems like an unecessary endeavour. I'll just take a simple PDA.

which I'm already bored with, by the way.

So I was pretty excited to fu#k around with the new PDA, and I wound up hot-sync'ing before I read the 8 bajillion warnings to have the library hot-sync our PDA's the first time. 🙁 Did I screw something up big time, or what? I can't figure out what to do with the damn thing anyway.

We were mad busy on Neuro today. We had 9 consults between 2 and 7.
At least it was my "call" night. I say that in quotes because all it really meant was that I had to stay a few hours later than normal ('cause my resident is supa-cool).

Maybe next week?

You can probably find a secret switch or hole somewhere to reset it to factory innocence. If you do, they'll NEVER KNOW.

It's possible that I set a record tonight. I got paged in to Columbia @ 7:00 and just got home. Very proud of myself... and Dr. Henry was fantastic.

Or just read my instructions which I've taken straight from the page:

have PDA on, yadda yadda. Press and hold power button...while holding, push and release tiny reset button (stylus works fine for this), but keep holding power button. Watch the screen. Wait for the silverish screen that says "Palm Powered" to show up, then release the power button. when it asks if you want to erase/reset, press the "up" part of the center control button thingamabob. It will erase anything you've added (like my Space Trader game already) and put all the settings back. I'm not touching mine again until they sync it. Keeps me from playing around.

If you need help bring it to me tomorrow and I'll gladly brea--fix it for you.
hopefully it will put things back to pre-Gimlet mode and the library people won't go all Conan the Librarian on you. just don't hook it up to your computer again.
