that's true. maybe the chromosomal defect displays mosaicism and that's why you're only partially screwed up.
 
What airlines fly out of MKE?

I'm trying to get a ticket to phoenix. Midwest has 500, 700, and 1000 dollar tickets while everyone else has about 350 dollar tickets. How does midwest even compete?

I didn't have a direct flight to AZ from MKE, but I flew on American to Chicago, then to Tucson. There are also direct flights from ORD to PHX.

Thanks. I did a little searching and there are 2 or 3 trains and 14 bus trips to O'hare each day. They're operated by Amtrak and CoachUSA for anyone who may want to take a trip in the future.

I can't decide whether I would be insulted by that or not. I'm really kind of a Goldwater Republican, which these days I think makes me a Democrat. Will someone please hold the world still for a minute?
 
I belong to the political party that isn't going to lie to me or have me take it in the you know what (see #3 in my signature).
 
Crap, forgot about doing Saturday Clinic this week. This is going to severely impact my procrastination time for the Pharm test. 👎 to helping people.

sucks to be you!!! being a phlebotomist is great...they're so desperate they give you whatever you want, and you can show up wearing your white coat with the sleeves rolled up and just a polo shirt. and this past summer I had to work a couple times right after clinic, so i just showed up in my work uniform with the coat over it. got a really weird look from one of the doctors that time. but if memory serves correctly, he's always kinda looking at people weirdly.

Haha. I remember that. That's the day I was just hanging out being a gimp. In that center room the doctor was like "Was that an EMT?"
 
THIS JUST IN!!!!!!!!

As many of you are probably aware, I had an unfortunate run-in with a stationary object with my car last year requiring a few repairs that are now pretty much undetectable. What I DIDN'T know is that it was all caught on tape, and here is the video!!!!

It probably depends on where you want to go.

For flying to DC in a couple weeks, Midwest was the cheapest of all.

Or maybe those are the republican prices. 😉
 
I just did almost 2 weeks worth of pharm lectures today, and I even slept in until 11:30. See, this is why not going to class and procrastination can work so well sometimes. Sure, I could've done the lectures on the day they were presented so I wouldn't've had to study pharm from 1pm to 1am today, but I was able to do next to nothing the rest of the block. 😀 Ruin one day instead of 2 weeks.

It's not procratination or being lazy. I like to call it using my time wisely. 🙄

get this...they told you they can't afford to fix all the roofs yet?
I just got a note at my door saying they're remodelling our hallways with new carpet, paint, wallpaper, tile, etc. so, they can fix up the relatively not-so-bad hallways, but the roofs leak. That's like painting a car that has 3 flat tires. They are SO going to give me money off my rent or I will use your building's new lasers on them when they go out to smoke on their little balcony. And they watch me from the balcony too. I once had the blinds drawn but open so you could see through, and they WAVED to me when I walked by. Freaks.

I have this HUGE craving for a cigarette right now. Somebody please convince me otherwise. But find a nonmedical/hygiene way of doing so. Because despite knowing all the bad things, I still crave one...i crave one real bad. and I've never been a regular smoker.

The out of money thing I heard via my neighbor. So who knows. Though I am glad they replaced the lighting in the hall. At least it's not almost pitch black in the halls now. After they fix my roof, they're going to have to replace the flooring. The carpet has been wet probably 3 months solid out of this last year, so it's gonna mold. My neighbor had it leaking in her entryway last year. They had to rip up the carpet and put down tile in that area. They did something to the ceiling/roof, and she hasn't had problems since, I think.

Nobody sees in my windows. It's nice.

I crave a cigarette everytime I open my bathroom cabinet...

Don't have a cigarette cuz you'd have to buy a whole pack, and you could use that money on beer instead.

BTW, the Jewel is shutting down and stuff is on sale. Mostly only 10 and 20% currently, but some of the liquor is clearing out. I've been stopping by every couple days to monitor it, and I'll buy if stock is low. I'm hoping to get some good deals later on. I've heard rumored that the last day is March 23. Unfortunately, that's spring break, so hopefully stuff will get cheap a week before that.

next time I get some I'll bring you a bottle. it's a tad expensive to buy a 6 pack for just to try. but sendiks has a fun little 8 pack microbrewery sampler i found it in.

Oh, and did anyone else get accosted after the psych test the other day by people with that dog lab petition? I finished the test pretty darned fast and there was still someone from our class waiting for me at the door saying "Come over here and sign the dog lab petition!" I felt kind of awkward saying, "Urm...no, not me. Thanks anyways."

Since our class doesn't have a thread, I'm hijacking this one! Done with peds! Yay! Two rotations left (yes, it's medicine and surgery, but whatever. I have VA med next month. go team 1).

Okay, I'm not really done, since the shelf is on Monday, but I don't have anything scheduled except studying in my underwear and eating M&Ms until then.

you should get a DVR. it's been simply amazing. pause TV, fast-forward commercials, and record shows that you want to watch later at your leezure.
 
TiVo has changed my life. I have my tivo hooked up to the wireless network and I can listen to internet radio and Podcasts on my TV. Also, you can get the software that allows you to pull the shows you've recorded off of tive and put them on you computer and Ipod Video so that you can watch 30 episodes of Family Guy on the way to London or whatever.

Being able to skip commercials is nice but being able to rewind to see what the hell the guy in the background was doing is killer. Also, if you have an exam and you need to study you can just watch your show later. It is great.

Maybe we should start a 2008 thread here. Nobody else from our class seems to post, and you guys could just hijack that thread too.
 
There's also the occasional "Don and Xandie run into each other at school and have a pseudo-thread discussion there, and then Don spills 'mayo' on himself and has to leave". Those are good times. 🙂
