Official Transcripts to AMCAS?

Hi,

This is kind of a silly question, but I haven't started filling out the AMCAS online, so I am just wondering. Do we have to mail hard copies of "official" transcripts to AMCAS after we submit the online application? The reason I am asking is because I am considering not releasing my spring term grades to AMCAS when I apply this summer. Eventually, if I am asked for those grades later, I will send them in.

you can actually start sending in your transcripts now. frist, you must go to the transcript verification section on your amcas, fill that **** out, then print out a copy of the "transcript request form" which amcas provides for you. you then give your school that form. on the form, it specifies whether the transcript is official(and it has to be). hope that helps.
