1. Posner Hall Dormitory (copied and pasted below)
Posner Hall, located at 200 Harrison Avenue, houses students enrolled in the School of Dental Medicine, School of Medicine, and the Sackler School of Biomedical Sciences. The dormitory, in addition to providing a convenient place to live, should foster an environment that promotes academic growth and personal development. Accordingly, students are expected to behave with mutual respect, courtesy, and cooperation. Although the university does not dictate lifestyle or morality, and encourages reasonable informality and spontaneity, the residence hall must be preserved as a place for quiet residence.
The dormitory encompasses four floors and only single rooms are available. Kitchens and single sex bathrooms are located on each floor. There is a lounge and courtyard on the first floor. Laundry, a weight lifting area, and study space is located in the basement. Individual rooms are approximately 11?x12? and have two closets. Rooms are furnished with a twin bed, dresser, desk and chair.
There are four Resident Assistants in Posner Hall, one on each floor. These individuals are employees of the Student Affairs Offices of the Dental or Medical schools. Resident Assistants are present to help students become acclimated to professional school as well as oversee and implement dormitory policies.
2. Access to a gym (very important to some of us!):
An agreement with city officials is being made so that TUSM students can join the local YMCA. More information will be available in the Office of Student Affairs this fall.
