Thanks a lot aaj117. It took a while for them to respond. I interviewed on Sept 21 and it says they mailed it out on November 14. A lot of people who interviewed around the same time heard way before I did. They also got an e-mail and I didn't so I guess there is no set time for a response. I am excited though. Good luck, I hope you get good news.

So i got a call today from the dean of admissions asking me to fax over a copy of my passport today because they are very interested in offering me a spot and discussing me in the scholarships meeting... :-D

Hey, so it didn't take me quite as long, just under six weeks...i got home friday night from work to find a letter from them informing me that i'm on the "alternate list" :-/ could be better could be worse i guess. congrats to everyone else though, it was an impressive weekend!

Congrats to everyone who has posted lately. This thread is my refuge from all of the obnoxious racist sdners who keep saying i and certian others only get in because of AA...The truth is, this is where all the good people are hiding. I think all of your inherent niceness and positive outlooks have been really shining through in interviews as much as it does in your postings, and that is why i like everyone here so much more.
 
Thanks aaj! Northwestern was in my top 4 schools so I'm very happy. But I'm still holding out for NYC schools and UCLA! Dare I dream? Haha..

Aww you want NY too? I'm dying to move back to my home state, be near ALL of my friends (best friends from high school AND college all live in manhattan), and my family(who i just started getting along with last year). Unfortunately this week, i'm recieving nothing but bad news, so i'm hoping i don't hear for a while and maybe i'll be out of this funk. I loved DC schools but appartenly, with the exception of Howard, they didn't like me nearly as much.

Yea.. I loved Cornell and Columbia when I visited. MSSM too! NYU interview is tomorrow. All of my friends from grade school/high school are in NY. My fam is in NY. And the majority of my friends from college moved to NY after graduation! But UCLA was fab when I visited too.. so I'm looking at the west coast as well. As of right now I'm leaning to NW even though Pitt is ranked higher..

Lol.. let's hope we all hear some good news come March!! DC is fabulous though so good luck with the DC schools!

OMG you must be amazing, you got ALL of the NY schools interviews?!?! I am so jealous. Cornell is far and above my top choice, i'm like obsessed, but my chances are slim because my interview wasn't fabulous and my grades suck. I have mount sinai in january, and no word from the others.

I would say more ridiculously lucky than amazing but thanks anyway!! Cornell was fabulous. I couldn't stop talking about Cornell for like a week after interviewing. Everything was so new. Everyone was so nice. Unfortunately it was my FIRST interview.. so I'm not to optimistic about my chances. 🙁
I think you probably did just fine on your interview since you were a seasoned interviewee by then so don't worry until March!

Mount Sinai was fun and everyone there was just really fun to be around! Good luck at Mt. Sinai and don't give up hope on the other NY schools!

I did get the hold in November so I was def. surprised to hear back! Another school where hold doesn't necessarily equal post-secondary rejection!

Thanks malicious and msjlewis! I haven't allowed myself to get too attached to a school, so I actually don't know what my top choice is... which is bad, because I'm admittedly a pretty indecisive person. But I'm very grateful to have such wonderful choices!
