what medical school would be good for me how should I plan out where i do my residency, fellowship, post grad ? please help. I need to know this information
 
I don't know if any of you have heard of Stumble Upon, but it is amazing. You basically sign up (it's free), tell it what your interests are, and pressing the "stumble" button will generate a new site based on your interests that you'd hopefully like. You can even get an add-on for your firefox browser, which I don't recommend since it makes it easier access. Thank god Chrome doesn't have an add-on for it. 🙂

You could have taken a screen shot! That way you could save it and input it in again. Or, if you record audio like I do (I hook my piano into my computer), you could have recorded it and saved an mp3 of it that way as well.

I closed the window to it as soon as I started getting addicted to it. Though this post is makes it too easy to find again.
 
Yup, for future reference Audacity will record your computers input and you can save it as a music file. Which makes me think: technically you could chain multiple recordings together to make a 'real' song.

Might be playing with that later. StumbleUpon strikes again...
 
I use Audacity and love it! It's super simple to use and free. I don't remember exactly why the beta was better, but get the beta version. I've had absolutely no problems with it yet and have used it for a few years now with both Vista and Windows 7.

If you are going to be recording from a phones out to mic in, I've found that turning the microphone down to 20% and using a male/male stereo/stereo line produces the best quality sound for that setup.

Record through Stereo (or maybe it was Line In) and it records exactly the same sound as the computer plays. Problem with that is if you get an error message while recording the song, it gets put into the song as well lol. Which is why every time I play "Cracklin' Rosie" (Neil Diamond) there's a Windows error message tone at the beginning of the second verse.
 
Line in is the best option, but isn't an option on my laptop! I have a midi in/out and phones out on my piano, but only a mic on my computer. I have to make do with what I have until I have the funds to upgrade.
 
So there's this neat little button here that says "YouTube" (right between the quote button and Google Video) that inserts YOUTUBE tags and lets you insert the video directly into the forum. Just put the http between the two bracketed tags it generates. Make sure you don't let it become a link - just paste the http between the tags without hitting enter and it should work.

haha! Reminds me of when I had my wisdom teeth out. Apparently I took so long to wake up and was so incoherent when I did that my mom thought I'd been permanently brain damaged and was gonna be a gibbering idiot forever.

All you have to do is name countries. There are 142 of them (I think). I usually get 100 or so, but I haven't had time to do it in a while. I need to learn Africa.

I really like it because it prevents me from being a complete geography idiot! And I can't even fathom the people that can't label the 50 states (that are from here). It's terrible.
