So I just got my invitation to a Mercer interview at 1 pm in Atlanta, GA.... This is wonderful because it's one of my top 3 schools... Problem is that I have an interview scheduled for 9 am at U.H.. and I've already committed to the UH interview(also in my top 3)... Is it a normal thing to call and reschedule an interview(for Mercer). Is that considered rude, idiotic, and a sure way to get rejected??? 😕 .. Please let a person know!!!...

Call Mercer up and see if they can't reschedule. If they can't then you have to make a hard choice, because I wouldn't try and push back a scheduled appointment (although that is just *my* opinion).

These places know you are applying to more than one institution. Just say you have a prior obligation and need to reschedule.

You can say you have a prior obligation and see what they say. I wouldn't say it was an interview for another school if you can get away with being vague... "Important prior obligation" should be information enough for them. But same as the others have said, don't cancel the appointment you've already made with UH. That would be worse. I applied to 7 schools... I'm lucky this didn't happen to me.

I interviewed w/ them last Friday and they are ultra NICE. there shouldnt be a problem calling them (which you need to do to confirm your appt.) and explain the deal 👍
