OHSU anyone?

I got same letter 2 days ago but dateed Jan 12th. and updated my AAdsas last week. I had to retake my DAT under their cut off. (I retook that dec 16)

I really hope OHSU considers me as well, such a desirable place to live...

And the letter also said, if at any time a status of your application changes, we will notify you IMMEDIATELY, by letter and email, of these changes.

It's getting to be a stretch here man 😕 (anxiety)

As mentioned earlier, I got in to my instate institution, which is GREAT (!!!😀), but man, Oregon....ahhhhhhh. (equals sense of relief).

I don't want to patronize them by calling, but I want something to happen!
Maybe I need this - -

regardless of what happen, I really respect OHSU . They treat us with respect not like other schools with very cold rejection letter or something like that. I am Texas resident with 3 in state schools( I don't mind move out from Texas). They didn't need to tell me to retake my DAT because my low RC score(14!) I think it was so easy for them just sending one rejection letter especially I am out of state applicant I call it professional attitude and really appriciate that .They know what they are doing. I wish all schools would have this kind of attitude.

hang in there. in predents there are people who have got their rejection .As I said before If they didn't like you had one of those "Dear applicant" letter already. 🙂

Ya OHSU is such an amazing campus. Built on top of a hill in downtown Portland, it just seems like its own city. The tram is amazing to ride at night as well. Where else can you go snowboarding to three large resorts in just an hour drive or go to the beach only an hour and half driveaway. Hell you could go to both in one day if you wanted.

There are some stats for last years incoming class. it was something like 130 kids got interviews, 105 acceptances given and 75 spots. so basically 30 kids were accepted and went elsewhere.

I am not an oregon resident, I am a Montana resident, and because we dont have a med or dent school I am a WHICHE resident. So when they choose kids, they accept OR residents first, then WHICHE, then out of state kids.

My DAT score is 20(TS)/19/18(gpa 3.6ish). But I applied really late (mid sept). OHSU haven't given me an interview🙁 but I got this letter; "your app has completed the intial assessment bla bla."
But I love portland;my coz went to oregon med so I used to visit her alot!
Did u also get tha "letter" about ur app has progressed to the next phase? or they just called u for an interview right away?

nah I am a cali resident; got rejection from ucsf! UOP(don't count on it), USC( too expensive for me), UCLA(haven't heard). That's one more reason I like about oregon; it's close to CA and my family😛

hmm calling schools😀ummmm my story; after calling temple and few others 3 weeks ago and being called "MAAA'M, EVERYTHING Z ON AADSAS😡😡, you can check aadsas😡😡." I am too scared now to call any schools I don't wanna get on their nerves( I guess I dunno how to speak to them on phone 😛 or maybe it's my voice annoying them lool)

Thanks for the info, I called today and the receptionist said that the school is currently making offers for interviews, as well as acceptance.

Basically someone will notify me about something sometime later on...sound silly sally?

I interviewed yesterday morning and got my acceptance email last night?! There are still lots of spots left, if I remember correctly (Mark just said it in passing) something like 45 spots have been filled? Also the process should start moving faster because anyone offered a spot after Feb 1st only has 2 weeks to decide. Hope this helps!

I know what you are asking, but as a joke: The difference between accepting and not accepting an interview means that if you decline, there is a greater possibility that I will get an interview at OHSU, hahaha!!!

Otherwise, I don't know much about creighton. Anyone???

I know creighton dental students are so happy with the education they r receiving and their clinic is on 10 tops.

HI resident. 3.5,3.7 19,20,20. 2nd yr app. interviewed @ 8 schools.
