I am a resident of Nevada and I have admission to both schools. I really really loved OHSU and their new building and facilities. UNLV will be cheaper but I felt like OHSU will give me better education and also Portland seems like a better city. Still cant decide between the two schools.

As above. Cheaper wins.

If u feel OHSU is the better school and better fit for u I would pick OHSU

I agree, you have to do what you think is best. Too many people on here are just going to tell you to go to the cheapest school.

Having lived in both cities, I'd have to say that Portland is a much nicer place to live. I like the climate better, and depending on what you like to do, there is much greater variety in Oregon.

Personally from what I heard I didn't like the integrated curriculum at UNLV. When I talked to students there they seemed to think it was just okay. I'm not sure how OHSU presents their curriculum, but you may find it suits your learning style better than UNLV's.

If you don't mind sharing, what were your stats? I'm really interested in OHSU, but it feels like it might be too late in the cycle to have a shot.

How much cheaper are we talking? 20k? 40k? 60k? Personally, I'd begin to have doubts about anything above the 20k mark; interest is not our friend. However, if you do chose OHSU, I guess I'll be seeing you next year!

OHSU is a wonderful school that produces some of the best dentists I have ever known. In my opinion, a high-quality education, such as the type you could receive from OHSU is worth the extra cost.
