I've submitted my applications almost 2 months ago and still have not heard from many of the programs. Yes, I've called or emailed to confirm they received all my information.

How long does it usualy take for the post-bacs to let you know of their decision. Bryn Mawr takes 4-6 weeks, but what about the others?? 😱

I applied to GU, BU, Drexel, UMDNJ, Barry, USF, and NYMC ( all special masters)

I was interviewed by Barry last week, and just got accepted to UMDNJ

I applied to a total of 12 at the end of november so i feel that I was one of the first.

Usually the same committees that review MD programs ( since most of the special masters/post-bacc are affiliated with a SOM) also review these apps. I've been told after the MD stuff's done, they'll look at the post-baccs/special masters apps. Maybe Mid-April.

Its hard to say. I visited my sick grandparents and stopped by Barry U to check on my app- the director told me to send in all my stuff, when I went to the records office, it was completed and not sent to him. I would say you should follow up with all the schools to make sure the secretaries are doing their job.
It was frustrating that the director had an appointment but couldn't or didn't want to see my application because it wasn't complete- when it really was.

Anyways- I applied in early January to Drexel, BU, Loyola, Georgetown, NYMC, EVMS, UMDNJ, Roswel Cancer Institute at U of B, and Barry....
I was interviewed (a necessary first step at Drexel) at Drexel.
I have heard from 🙄 NYMC, EVMS, UMDNJ, Roswel Cancer Institute at U of B, and Barry in the past two weeks.
My suggestion is call the office and check the status of your apps.

Not sure where you're applying, but SFSU has been sending out word for about 3 weeks and Mills acceptances went out on Friday.

which of the the graduate programs have interviews? i know drexel does. anyone know for the likes of UMDNJ/GU/BU/Tulane?

Hey Lukie,

I don't know what schools you applied to, but I applied to U Penn, Bryn Mawr, Harvard Ext School, University of Miami and Goucher... Hope this info helps.

In December, I sent a 1 page application (that did not ask for any recommendations) to the University of Miami, and I am still waiting to hear back from them. Actually, I still have not received any news from their offices, not even a confirmation letter that they have received my app.

Harvard Ext School sends responds quickly for most applicants it seems. I received a letter one week after sending my app.

I sent an application for Goucher on Feb. 13 and by the end of February, I received a rejection letter from them.

Finally, I sent my last two applications to Bryn Mawr and U Penn on Feb. 13. as well and interviewed with both schools on Feb. 25. In the first week of March I received a response/letter from both schools.

Also, when I was up at Bryn Mawr for the info session and interview, they told our group of applicants that we were in the "middle wave" or second phase of applicants. I imagine that students in the "third wave or phase" will receive a response at a later date than us.

Good luck with everything Lukie! Keep us posted.

best,

I applied to Bryn Mawr in February of 2003 and I STILL haven't heard back! They cashed my check, but never gave me an interview or rejection or whatever they do. I never looked into it past confirming they had all my application materials because I loved Hopkins and ended up there. Moral of the story...might want to nag them if you don't hear anything.
