Hi there, quick question about LORs and how current they should be.
I'm currently a sophomore, going into my junior year this fall. I'm transferring schools and am wondering if I get a letter right now from my OChem teacher(very strong performance in his class) would it be bad to have a letter that old when I plan on applying my senior year? I thought letters are supposed to be something you accrue over time and they are almost like a snapshot of your performance at that time, so do LORs need to be written the semester before you apply or can they be from professors you had soph./junior year?
