Hello SDN, i am europian 38 years old with a medical university degree. I finished my degree when i was 26 (medical uni is 6 years in my country) but i didnt pursue a residency for about 12 years as i was working on another job. Now i want to go in an ophthalmology residency and i wanted to ask what to study before i go in as i desperately need to refresh all of my knowledge. I read stories of people getting kicked out of residency so i am kinda terrified. Also you think ophthalmology is a good residency to pursue, i am basically looking for a fairly easy and not too much "emergency heavy" specialty.
