Hey oldpsych doc or any others who know first hand about the ranking process. My second hand info from a number of PD's has been that they select people for interviews pretty stringently as far as they do not interview people with numbers below what they want. But after they grant an interview the numbers are out the window and it is how you perform and fit in in the interview. So I am just curious if this is pretty true or depends or what. I have definetly seen a huge trend of PD's telling me they don't care about numbers after a certain point, reason being psychiatry is more about interpersonal skills than any other field. Go figure. I have definetly met some antisocial people during interviews.
