I am a medical student in London. I recently came across a very inspiring OMFS trainee (resident) while at a careers event. I have since become very interested in the specialty.
Over here one has to be dually qualified, in both Medicine and Dentistry to practice OMFS or Craniofacial Surgery. Since deciding on surgery, I had decided to sit the USMLEs in my final year of medschool, which is in 2 years time.
What is the system of practice of OMFS and Craniofacial surgery in the states/canada and what qualifications would an IMG need to have to get on a program?
