Sorry about your disappointment...maybe if you're super nice and beg, you can retest or take it again over the summer so you don't have to do the whole thing over?
On another note, I've also learned from experience to never be lax about any course...those stupid seemingly unimportant ones can come back to hurt you! It'll especially be important in dental school...you'll be paying a crapload of money and will be super motivated for your medical/dental courses, but it's easy to feel like it's useless to take things about "the profession" or something like biochem. In your dental materials classes you'll probably have an entire unit on alginate.
😀 It's super easy to think that they're unimportant, but if you do poorly on 2 or 3 of these per semester, it's going to really hurt you.
It's important to show that you not only love learning and can study what MATTERS, but that you're also intelligent about being a student...that you can get through anything and pull an A whether or not you're interested or the class is organized well. Dental schools will value this, since they need to know you can study just when you have to, not when you want to.
I'm not saying that you didn't try for the class, or that something didn't come up randomly or the professor didn't screw you over in the final. Just realize that you won't be given any excuses for failing, regardless of what happens. Totally sucks, I know!!
