Hey ya'll,

I was wondering if any of you know what the OMM/OPP questions on the Comlex Level 1 look like?
The reason I ask is because my school places a big emphasis on procedural set up and that is what we are usually tested on during our midterm/finals but I have no idea what or how we are tested for Level 1. Any ideas?

I'd say OMM/OPP counts for ~5-10% of Level I. A typical question goes like:

A patient displays X, Y and Z set of symptoms. The somatic dysfunction is in:

C2-C3

T1-T2

T 3-7

L1-L2

OMM is seriously one of the hardest subjects at my school. It's nice to know the COMLEX tests on basic, fundamental stuff.

Spinal facilitation levels, the almost obvious chapman's points (appendix ---> right twelfth rib tip), the especially bizarre chapman's points (prostate --> posterior IT band), fryette's laws, sacral diagnosis, hip diagnosis, basic elements of major treatment setups, treatment of sacrum/hip, cranial basics. That's pretty much all I remember ever seeing on either COMLEX 1 or 2, roughly in order of how frequently I remember the subjects appearing.

Hahaha. Fundamental stuff? Having fundamentals implies a certain amount of teaching consistency across the subject, of which there is none in Opp. I would be willing to bet the fake "spinal facilitation" levels you see on test day, will be different than what was presented in class (cough...cough...mine were).

I barely touched COMBANK aside from the two weeks before my exam. Then every night I'd do like, 20 OMM questions. Everything else was UW, UW, UW.

Okay sweet, thanks. So you did the staggered USMLE first then COMLEX second approach as well. That helps because it saves a ton of money as well. Can you select only for OMM questions on the COMBANK?

Nope, but whatever, I just paid the money for the whole qbank because we got a class discount on it. Can't remember how much it was, but it was a decent price.
