hey....don't sweat it if you didn't get the MSU secondary. the same thing happened to me when i applied two years ago. I was in-state, applied early, had good numbers (considerably above their averages) and i was put on hold for a secondary. I finally got one in like, March, but was ultimately rejected without an interview.
MSU tends to be fairly primary-care-oriented, so if that's not your thing and you made it clear in your application, that could be why you got put on hold.
anyway, if your numbers are really that high, and you don't screw up in your interviews, you should have no problem getting in somewhere else. So unless MSU is your first choice (in which case you should probably write them a letter telling them you're very interested in their school), then don't sweat it, and wait for some other acceptances to come in. 🙂
