On Hold until the end of the cycle?

Is it common to be placed on Hold until the end of the cycle?? Do applicants put on hold really have a chance?

Yeah, I think my application was technically "on hold" for like..2 months. They weren't adding me to the waitlist but they said they would re-evaluate my app whenever the admissions committee met. I guess when they thought their applicant pool was drying up, they let me in! And here I am! On hold >> Straight Rejection, so keep your head up!

Thats encouraging to here. Did u get into SCO off the hold list?
