Hey All,

I'm not sure if I'm being dumb, but I haven't figured out a way to cross out certain questions on UW or NBME, namely those "arrow questions" or the ones that have big spaces in them, column style. Can you cross these out on the real deal, or is there another trick to it? I'm fine crossing out normal questions, fwiw.

I'm hoping there is especially since they can be tricky to track across the screen without messing up. Thanks!

I was worried about this too but you can cross them out on the real thing so no worries!

Good to hear, that as well has been one of my pet peeves when doing all these questions.

Yes you can, you can cross out pretty much every kind of question. I'm glad it was the case too, it drove me nuts trying to keep it straight on UW or Kaplan.

Thank goodness! It's horribly annoying that the other interfaces can't do it. As long as the real deal does I guess that's all that matters 😛

I guess this would be a good thread to ask.. Do they have a calculator app built in? For the lab values, is it in the same arrangement as the NBME tests or more Uworld?

Just wondering!

Agreed about the heart sounds, except on mine their increase in quality did nothing to help me figure out WTF they were 🙂 Still have absolutely no clue...

Yeah I only got two heart sounds. Excellent quality. One I had no idea on, the other was unbelievably obvious (even to me and I suck at heart sounds).

Is crossing a left-mouse strikethrough motion like on UW or right click on the NBMES?

Anything else we should know if we're planning on skipping the tutorial?

Oh also, there's no option to just "skip" the tutorial (at least not as far as I saw). You can "end block", though, because the tutorial is considered a block and if you end it then you will get that time to use as break. (perhaps a subtle distinction, but it was different than the NBME tutorial).

BUT I skimmed through the tutorial and it was a GOOD thing I did because it gives you the option to test the sound on your headphones and mine weren't WORKING. So, at least do the sound check if you can. Just in case you have a freak accident like I did. You won't want to find that out 15 minutes through block 3.

I still had at least 7 or 8 minutes left after I skimmed through the tutorial. It's not too bad. You won't need as much break time as you think you will. You'll just want to get it over with (if you are a normal human being). I mean, I used all my time save 15 minutes. And it was probably overkill.

I don't remember about the crossing out, but it's easy enough to figure out I guess 😉. I did it somehow 😛
