lady in red,

Congratulations!! It must feel great!! I'd love to be in your shoes (BTW, what shoe size do you wear?). :D

Anyways, that is so awesome. Don't mind the freaks on SDN...they have no life and occupy their time by stalking the innocents who want to share their good news.

That's so awesome! Weren't you worried that you'd have to apply again?? CHEERS!
:)

After the cookie post I'm just a tad bit incredulous (sorry :( ). I've been told by my friends on various adcoms at different schools that no one person has the power to accept a student on the spot. I was told that there ARE people who hold alot of weight (such as the chair of the committee or the director of admissions), but they can't unilaterally flat out accept someone without consulting the others.

I hope that you get accepted. I hope that it works out, but keep in mind that I've had interviews where my interviewer told me that he thought that I'd fit in great at their school, hoped to work with me next year, and thought that I'd thrive in the curriculum there.....and later I was put on Hold or on the waitlist.

If I were you I'd wait until I had it in writing....

No, UCLA--my interviewer told me straight out--that he is happy to offer me a seat. He is the dean of admissions. I still want the letter though!

Lady in Red I am inclined to believe since she seems sincere, tells details of her situation, and even will tell where.. Cookie, on the other hand, was the biggest liar and fraud I have seen waste the space of SDN message board in a long time.

That does it! I'm wearing red to the rest of my interviews!! :D

I didn't really want to post on this thread, but I believe this stuff can happen, as I was pretty much "accepted on the spot" at MCW. One of my interviewers told me he would "recommend me to the admissions committee" and lo and behold a week later, I got accepted. So congrats Lady and hope you get that UCSF acceptance!

I had one of my interviews tell me too that she was going to recommend me to the committee. But by no means did I consider that to be an acceptance. Hence the word "committee"--a bunch of people get together and make a decision as a group.

If I got REJECTED on the spot, I'd burst forward in a barrage of fury, scalding my surroundings in the magma of my scorching rage. If I were in a GOOD mood, naturally.

Cookie, I love your rendition of "The Drunken Piper" to Natalie MacMaster's fiddle accompaniement. It's my favourite song on that album!

And judging from how ZAPPED I am from the 3 Jolt colas and two Red Bulls I had before class, I don't think I could handle it.

As for the movie, I'll let you pick it, but I hope it stars Janeane Garofalo... <img border="0" alt="[Lovey]" title="" src="graemlins/lovey.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Lovey]" title="" src="graemlins/lovey.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Lovey]" title="" src="graemlins/lovey.gif" />

Maybe you're both in IT!! <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

Euro,

I applied to be in Lady in Red's harem, but I got a weird sense from the interview. There was only one ethical question, which was "if you catch a fellow love slave faking an orgasm, what would you do?". Essentially she asked me stuff that wasn't in the application, which is good because it means she's likely read it, but she had her hand on my ass the whole time. Also, she kept calling me Mr. Pissy, which isn't my name. She continued to do that throughout the interview even after I corrected her a few times. In the end I left with the impression that she must've been thinking of another applicant the whole time.

Oh well, I hope to hear something from her soon, but either way I got an interview for Kadyra's harem comning up. Wish me luck, I might get an on-the-wet-spot acceptance there.

Mr.

Mr Furious,

Actually you don't get in immediately by applying on the wet spot, the only way is for an on-the-G-spot acceptance. This is much harder to achieve. I'de like to wish you luck with your other harem applications, but which is your top choice? Have you thought about sending a letter of intent? Don't forget that this is a two way process and you, as an applicant, have as much right to demand to see their "rotations". A good set of "rotations" can make all the difference in being satisfied with your harem experience. I understand lady-in-red is a relative new harem (shes only 20 and been married since 16 so...). I also don't know what kind of financial package she can offer. Have you tried your state harem? I don't know where you are located but you might consider relocating to Nevada, which has a large number of in-state harems. Also how are your numbers? I hear you need at least an 8.0" to get in, however, being "well rounded" can compensate for poor numbers....also, are you a URM? This can help in some cases. Finally don't forget, if your good with your hands, you could always be a DO instead.

Good luck! Keep us posted.

I'm late in joining the post, but wanted to offer my congratulations as well. Lady, sounds like you've had a tougher year than most of us, so your acceptance is very well deserved. We're all hoping you get good UCSF news on the 15th, but until then, hope you're celebrating enough for all of us.

Oh my god! I have an online harem!
BTW, euro and Furious--can we keep this post...ummm..decent? Without the g-spots and such? :D

now that you got into ucsf, where was your on-the-spot acceptance at?

Schoolbody, i posted that in the UCSF thread, but anyways, if you are interested--it was George W. I still haven't gotten the letter, but it does not matter now.

[/qb][/QUOTE]wait? aren't you married? and did you just say UCLA gave you an acceptance on the spot?[/QB][/QUOTE]

She's recently divorced. George W. offered her an "on the spot" acceptance some time ago, but she was accepted to UCSF (her top choice) just a few days ago.

I got yer back, Lady.

Thanks racergirl :)
Watcha--wherever the hell did you dream that up? UCLA rejected me (recently), and i was offered a UCLA/Drew interview but did not go.

Lady, are you an undergrad at UCSF? is that where you got those awesome science grades?

Yes, I don't think there's an undergrad at UCSF. And I know that lady didn't do her undergrad there, although I'm not too sure exactly where she did do it!

Lady, if you don't mind me asking, what exactly do you do during interviews?

Lady In Red,

Someone bumped this thread, so I just now saw it.

Not that it even matters since you're at another school....but, it's been over a year....did you *ever* get that acceptance letter from george washington ?????

If not, then I wonder if the interviewer was being an a-hole.

You said that he just sat there and stared and didn't crack a smile...I wonder if he was totally jerking your chain about an acceptance?
