So ive been getting billions of supplementals and some of these ask for a photograph. "a recent identification photograph (not a snapshot". Do they want like yearbook photos (im classed out in a tux) or should i go to kinko's and get some passport photos taken?

i wouldn't worry about the type of picture. but you want to represent yourself in the best light! so, i would choose one that you really look good in. some schools ask for passport photos, but i used my graduation picture and cut it. it's not the most conventional way, but it worked =)

I took picture of myself (using a tripod) at home, printed it out in wallet size on glossy paper and sent it off.
