if im averaging only 1-2 wrong per passage on tprh verbal (and improving), im on track to do well on the real thing right?

That's pretty good by my standards, I'm used to 2-4 wrong per passage. But I'm getting 8's and 9's, rarely 10's.

thats very good since verbal tends to be the hard section because that's something most people have a hard time improving.

ive been getting the same, maybe a little worse, for most of tpr verbal except ive been getting rocked after passage 35...so far that's translated to 10's on AAMC. So you're definitely on the right track

I don't know, but I'm getting at most 2 wrongs per passage. God bless those few passages where I get zero wrong.

What I did is that I then counted up what I got right over 40 questions. If you have about 9 wrong, that's a 10. About 6 wrong is 11. I'm consistently scoring 9 and 10.

wow i just took a timed practice last night from the TPRH verbal workbook, i did 40 questions (there were only 6 passages because i was doing the practice passages before the practice exams at the end of the book) and had 17 minutes remaining! i was like what is going on here why do i have 17 minutes left, then realized it was 1 passage less (each passage just had more questions). I think this is a good sign if i finish that early on tprh with 40 questions right? (scaled score of a 12 too!!) soo pumped 😀

I just took it so don't know my scores, but the one thing I took from the real verbal was make sure you're not just scoring where you think is acceptable in practice test, but also make sure you are using the fundamentals everyone agrees on- don't spend too much time on a problem and use POE. And I think marking detail questions is probably fruitful because they can be such a time suck yet are easy points if you finish ahead of time and can go back to double check. I also think it's best to get into a strong habit of crossing off answers when you know for sure they're incorrect but only then if you think you might go back to a question. It's much easier to evaluate 2 answers than 4 if you can trust that you eliminated the other two for a good reason on your first pass.

Yes definitely--have been doing that!
