Once accepted, GPA of senior yr. important ?

Just wondering...

for those got accepted this month or later...
Is your senior year's gpa important for med school or do you just have to get C or better until matriculation.

i'd say don't give up completely (they may want to see you transcripts for the following semesters) but once youre in youre in. In other words, you should try to live up to the impression you gave them.

In most schools, you need to have the same type of grades in your senior year that you did in the other 3 years. At some schools, your acceptance package will even come out and say you must continue to make the same type of grades or you can be reevaluated for admission.

My advice.... don't blow your senior grades off or you may regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just take bullsh*t classes where it is actually hard to get below a B. There are definitely classes where you have to try to get below a B.

I have to agree with everyone else, why blow it when you're in. You worked this hard to get in, why put it in jeopardy your last few months of college?

For the schools i am aware of , it is very important. If you get a D your application gets re-evaluated at UVA and if you get a C you need to explain.

On the acceptance letter from downstate, it stated that you had to get at least C's in all your classes. I'm sure that at most places, if you get one C it won't raise a fuss (I hope), espically if it's your first ever. However a semester's worth of C's will probably draw some attention. I'm in this predicament as this semester I'm probably facing my first C since high school, and I'm starting to get a little nervous 😱
