I assume this was asked too many times. But now that the time comes to make the choice I'm asking that again: which one is better? I know eevrything about EK, but I cannot take it, so for me it's the choice b/w Kaplan and Princeton. Anything on that topic would be helpfull. Thank you, guys!!!

Forget the course... All you need are the MCAT books and EK's AO! Save your money and buy yourself a car 😎 😎 😎

I'd go with Princeton. From my experience, Kaplan's SAT prep book was not too good (my practice test score was much higher than my real score, the first time), but Princeton's book helped me a ton. I know the SAT isn't the MCAT, but that's just my two cents. 🙂 I've looked through both MCAT prep books, and Princeton's seems to be organized better. I don't know which company provides the better MCAT class, though.

What's AO? THanks, dude.

D.

AO is Examkracker's Audio Osmosis. It is a very helpful 12 disc set that reviews the basic sciences (and verbal/WS) needed in order to ace the MCATs.

Form myself, I used Kaplan's Big MCAT Book, EK'S AO, and several practice exams. I did alright on the MCATs!

Since I had the $, I used Princeton Rev. for the August MCAT. I completely bought in to their entire program, did everything they recommended, all their practice tests, and ended up with a 33R.

For me the best part of their course were the materials which I felt to most accurately simulate MCAT passages.

Also, several students in my Princeton Rev class had previously taken the Kaplan course and had not done well on the MCAT (and had not liked Kaplan). While not doing well is not the sole fault of the prep course, those students seemed to like PR's system much better. I don't know how they did on their second test, though.

Well, I would go with Kaplan. I have personally taken both Kaplan and Princeton Review. Princeton Review left me totally confused to the point where I did not take the MCAT. I am currently taking Kaplan, and I LOVE IT! I would have to say that the thing I like best is that they actually have a facility where you can study, this huge library of videotapes, exams, practice questions, topical tests, everything. In my opinion, you get WAY more for your money, and I am progressing much better with Kaplan.

Bingo! I took the Kaplan course. I did well on the MCAT, but when I took the actual test and got to the Bio section, I was like "what the .... 😕"

I am a TPR instructor now (if that tells you anything about Kaplan) and I can tell you I love my job. The organization is great, and we DO have the most dedicated instructors in the business. TPR has the highest sccore increase in the business too!! All the materials are in books given for you to KEEP. There is no going into a library or downloading them from the internet and printint out mindless copies and wasting your ink, paper and time.

The one thing Kaplan does have an advantage on, I believe, is the physical sciences. It has been my experience, and the experience of some of my fellow test takers (2003 April), that Kaplan physical science material does bring your PS score up quite well. All in all though, it just isn't worth paying the big bucks for the Kaplan course. I think the TPR is where its at and will excel in every category, especially VERBAL!!

Coops

Go wit kaplan cuz of the library, it's all online so you can download everything. Plus you have access to online audio/visual lessons, followed by workshops and quizzes. But also get a hold of TPR science workbook, that is key.

THen you'll have everything you need. Kaplan library and TPR workbook.

I used nothing more than used Kaplan review texts for the MCAT and scored a 29
b-10, vr-10, p-9, writing-o
I also did a lot of review tests which I think helped me a lot.
I studied on my own for about 4 months before the exam.
