Ok, so once you are done with med school and finished with residency, are doctors still subjected to passing some sort of standardized test every once in a while? How does this work and is it different based on the specialty?

It depends on the specialty, as far as I know. Anesthesiology requires a re-certification exam every 10 years if you want to stay boarded. Not sure about other specialties.

Almost every specialty has scheduled exams to make sure you remain up to snuff.

Yes medicine... the field where the tests never stop coming.

Yea, but its not like an exam it's like modules, that you have to do. Then you mail em, but its really low stress. The board sends you a booklet and then you answer q and mail it. You have to do these modules like every 5 or 10 yrs. But its not like an exam or anything like that, but if you don't do modules, then you will have to do an exam, but really nobody gets to that point.

You Are = You're

I was thinking of responding myself. For crying out! Why can't people spell? Are "your" and "you're" really so confusing? What about "their," "there," and "they're?" How in the world did medical students graduate at the top of their classes in both high school and college only to fail at something that every elementary student knows? I even see lectures where the professor gets the most basic words misspelled.

seriously, i was shocked to my very core when i saw you're spelled as your 🙄

seriously - get over yourself.
