I might have to start out at Everett CC because I live 35 miles north of Seattle and would have to somehow commute to the UW every day for classes. I can't afford to live on campus, so I am lving at home with my parents in Lake Stevens at least for a little while, and I just had a question:
If I did take at least my first two years at EvCC or any community college really, then transferred into a university, where would I get my letters of recommendation from? Or do you not have to know your professors for an insane amount of time to get letters of rec?

Becoming a doctor is what I have always wanted to do, but I failed myself by only appling to one college, the UW, because i thought a 3.87 GPA, with a 2060 SAT, and involvement only in varstiy wrestling and NHS wouldn't be competitive out of state :/ I am just not sure what to do right now, I want to avoid taking out loans for UW, but if that is the only way I will be able to get into med school, by going to UW all four years I mean, then I really have no choice. Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't think it matters where you get your LORs. Get it from someone who knows you best. But yes, the preference would be to get them from the university if the professors there will write as good of a letter as at the CC.

Take as little prereqs at the CC as possible. Preferably transfer after a year, instead of two.

Keep in mind that a lot of students have loans. It is not unusual. If you stick to subsidized loans, you will not accumulate any interest as long as you are in school (including medschool).
