Very unlikely unless it's for a very good reason like you were hospitalized or an new baby.

Not likely. Most schools have a policy about how much time you can miss...often its not more than 3 days, unless you are having surgery or a baby or something else significant and if its planned (like a baby), they may make you use vacation time.
