Hey guys, been creepin for a while and finally decided to start contributing... what do you guys think I should do/ what are my chances? (apply early with my current DAT scores or apply later after retaking?) oGPA: 3.92 sciGPA: 4.00 DAT scores: 22 Bio, 22 Gen Chem, 19 O-chem, 21 RC, 23 QR, and 21 PAT I think my scores are acceptable, except for o-chem (I took the DAT without having taken O-chem at all) extracurriculars: pretty standard with research, etc. except lacking a really killer leadership role LOR: hoping for stellar reqs, but realistically they're gonna be above average Schools I plan to apply to: UoP, UCSF, Penn, USC, UCLA among others but those are my tops thanks in advance! (sorry having trouble w formatting lol...)

You will for sure get interviews, just don't be weird lol. Good luck

You are fine. No need for a retake.

I would consider a retake. There could be a 100 applicants with better stats nationwide and they might all get into your top choice.

Whether you decide to retake it or not, APPLY EARLY with your current DAT scores.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there should be a section on the application where you can state whether you are planning on re-taking the DAT. This way, even if you do plan on retaking, they'll already have your application on file and will only have to process your new DAT scores by the time they come in.

Also, looking at your stats, you shouldn't have any trouble getting any interviews with your current DAT. Either way, apply as soon as you can.

You're well qualified academically for all the schools you listed above. Just make sure that you have enough shadowing hours (from a general practitioner, preferably.) And Biology section is usually considered the most important out of the three science sections, so you're all set with a 22.

Your score is Solid, especially that you are done and can apply early. I found it laughable that you were even asking. Just make sure you are well rounded, don't be that person with only two good qualities

When I read threads like these I feel like giving up on life with my ~3.5 science gpa
