So I have heard that medical schools are quite skeptical about online classes...is this true?

This summer, I plan to fulfill many of my general requirements. I plan on taking professional writing online, and 2/3 generals ONLINE. Is this bad?

Also, on your transcript does it indicate that the course was online? How do med schools know whether a course is online or not?

Thanks everybody!

Maybe in prereqs.

I fufilled two gen eds online, starting med school in August.

My school doesn't.

I don't know if they can unless it's done through an online-only school.

I've taken online courses at both a private university and community college. None of my transcripts indicate that these were taken online. There is no way for a school to know.

I have taken 4 courses (all general or elective non-science) online... My undergrad doesn't say they are online on the transcripts though... I don't think it is a problem

Yeah, I took one gen ed online. I don't see why it would be a problem provided it wasn't a prereq and was taken with your university..
