I'm a RN doing a RN-BSN alongside my pre-med requirements. I know that all nursing classes are configured into the "all-other/non-BCMP" GPA. I have 8 classes that are online for the BSN (nursing theory, nursing research, etc. mostly "fluff" classes) will these still be part of my all other gpa even though they are online classes? NONE of my prerequisites will be online.

Well its a hard call, if your going to a accredited university and that's the way they teacher for nursing then its ok. Also because they aren't pre-reqs you'll be fine i think.

Yes, it is a well-respected accredited university. Not all the RN-BSN classes are online, classes like pathophysiology are offered through the zoology dept. and epidemiology through microbiology, etc and are NOT online. Just 8 of the required nursing courses are only offered online.

If its a accredited university your good. I just needed to check that it wasn't university of phoenix or something.

My Psychology class I'm taking at a CC for fun is being taught by a PhD from an online university.

Online classes aren't ideal but the BSN will likely be a bigger red flag than would be a few online nursing courses in nursing theory.

The RN-BSN is only partially online. The clinicals are obviously not. Genetics, pathophysiology, epidemiology, statistics, developmental psych, humanities, culture, history, etc. are not online. The basic nursing theory courses aka "fluff" courses ARE online and will be stated as WEB on the transcript:

NSG 301 (3) – Theory Based Nursing Practice - WEB
NSG 311 (3) – Health Promotion Across Lifespan - WEB
NSG 317 (3) – Teaching Strategies in Health Care -WEB
NSG 418 (3) – Complex Health Problems - WEB
NSG 331 (3) – Nursing Research - WEB
NSG 402 (3) – Professional Nurse Leader - WEB
NSG 430 (3) – Community Health Nursing - WEB
NSG 435 (3) – Challenges in Health Care Delivery - WEB

With my ADN + BSN it will be 128 total credits. Out of that 24 credits will be online. It's through a well-respected four year university. I'd really like to finish up here because I've got a lot of the support and science courses done already. Should I look elsewhere? It's seems like a lot of RN-BSN are online.
