Hi there! There really is no difference. In fact, your preparation should be the same whether you decide to do in-person vs. online interviews. You still need to dress professionally for both, maintain good eye contact, introduce yourself well, and have an excellent delivery. You also need to have a strategy to answer any type of question. Answer scenario questions is very different from answering policy questions, for instance, so you should be prepared for both. There are also three main questions that are common in traditional or panel interviews, which are ‘tell us about yourself’, ‘why have you chosen this profession’, ‘why are you interested in this program’. Your answers to these questions should be ready to go regardless of whether you interview in person or online. What’s important here is to show the program that you are a good fit and that you have those essential qualities that they value in applicants. Best of luck to you!
