Hi All,
I had a really difficult year, and had emergency neurosurgery in mid-march, and recently received a diagnosis of ideopathic hypersomnia. (Yes, I stayed in the semester. My gpa is about 3.3, with my sci at 3.2 at the moment, so I'm not planning to apply for another year or two. That gpa is a byproduct of both that semester and my freshman year, where I was grappling with a series of severe diagnoses and ailments, including gastroparesis and encephalitis.)
I decided to take physics this summer, and got an online lecture course approved at my university. I did this to try to increase the number of classes I would take that really captivate my interest, like human genetics and biostatistics, (both graduate level) during the next year, and also keep me engaged as I was recovering. I am taking the lab section this semester in person this coming semester.
Will I have to retake physics (the one science I really dislike) to apply to medical school? (Ignore my gpa - I know it's horrid.)
Thanks!
