Hi. I'm going to be enrolling in an online university (of Phoenix) soon and I was wondering if medical schools would see this the same as brick n mortar.

The school is accredited and has one of the best reputations of all online schools.

If you're wondering , why online? Its because of many reasons , not the least of which is transportation.

It is generally recommended that you do your courses at a 4 year university or at least a community college. I really don't think that online courses will be accepted...they also probably won't transfer to a full university should you choose to attend one later. I'm almost certain it's a bad move, but I'll let some others weigh in. @Goro

My school accepts them as long as they're from an accredited University.
MSAR Online tells you whether an MD school will accept online credits.

Cool thanks. Can i have a link for msar online.

Btw , why does j senpai think online schools are lower than community colleges. Honestly, thats an insult to me. I hope that everyone doesnt share his opinion.

There are better online options that are cheaper as well. Look at Western Governor's University or Thomas Edison. Both are non-profit institutions. Even ASU has things online.

I never suggested that... But the truth is that these online schools are generally viewed as being less rigorous and the grades you receive being less predictive of your capabilities than full time universities.

Online schools aren't necessarily worse than community colleges, but for-profit schools like University of Phoenix almost always are. It's not an insult; it's generally understood that community colleges tend to provide better education at a much better cost (the negative stigma revolving around community colleges is heavily undeserved), whereas for-profit colleges tend to prey on the misinformed and desperate.

Fair enough. Which online school I look at?

Many many many schools don't accept online credits AT ALL.

Just do yourself a favor and enroll somewhere else
