I would like to take an online Spanish course. Does anyone have any recommendations on introductory level courses? Are there any good free ones or should I pay for one? Searching google I could not find any comprehensive free ones. Thanks!

If you don't find a course you like I recommend utilizing free resources.

For introductory purposes, you can start with apps like Duolingo.

After building a foundation you want to begin using Spanish as often as possible. Continue using apps like Duolingo but expand to listening to Spanish podcasts and/or watch shows and movies in Spanish with Spanish subtitles. Use apps like "HelloTalk" to speak/write to native Spanish speakers.

I also highly recommend this series for beginners: Spanish — Language Transfer

I started using Duolingo but the lessons are so short! I like the idea of listening to podcasts in Spanish though. I will start doing that and the series you recommended sounds good. Thank you for your help!

I still would love to hear any full course recommendations if anyone has any. Thank you!!!

Spanish language news (e.g. Univision) with subtitles is good. You can see and hear the words and they enunciate beautifully.
More advanced students can use telenovelas (with captions). The speech is a lot faster but you get an idea of how the words flow into phrases.

Courseram udemy, edx all offer free opportunities. Coursera and edx are designed/taught by universities with excellent Spanish options from introductory to higher levels - including some medical Spanish. They are (usually) free and charge only if you want a certificate of completion.

I kinda break learning spanish into two things, reading/writing for grammar and listening/speaking for conversations. For the former, find a good book. I lovedddd Barbara Bregstein's step by step series. This should cost minimal.

For listening / speaking, you will have to find a tutor or a group to learn with. That takes longer because it requires others. I got a tutor off of Wyzant and did 1 hour a week in addition to listening to TV/Films. This is where you get what you pay for (unless you find other like-minded people)
