Only One Interview Starting to Stress!

So I received an interview from NOVA about 3 weeks ago. Since then I have had no news from any other schools I have applied to 16 total. This makes me worry a lot. My stats are not great which also worries me. I took my DAT August 3rd and my test scores didn't get to schools until August 27th! So do you think that is why its taking that long for schools to review my file? I really hope I can get more than 1 interview. Here are my stats

AADSAS application mailed 07/09

2.95 Overall
2.8 BCP

Masters in Biomedical Sciences: 3.89

DAT: 20TS / 20AA / 18PAT (mailed 08/27)

Dont stress, at least you have one interview...there are others who dont have any yet. It is still September.

most on this site are type a personality overachievers who worry about everything.

honestly, i have talked to professors i know personally and they said that they are just starting to get the ball rolling for interviews now. some have gotten interviews to a few places, but trust me its still early in the game. I just got my letters of rec out today- people on this site how said im screwed and stupid, but trust me its only like midway- not that late yet. we all still have a good chance.

so feel better because i have 0 interviews so far!

I have zero Interviews and took the DAT on the same date with you and have the same results.
So relax, enjoy the fact that you atleast have one and make sure to impress them.

i agree...you've already have one interview lined up...which is one more than me. I had my app completed around the same time as you and I have yet to hear back from any school...besides one which was a denial

I agree with everyone here. Some people are just dying to have one interview. This process makes everyone stressed and you aren't the only one. There still is a lot of time so be patient. Good luck on your Nova interview!

Okay cool. This puts me at ease a bit. Hard to be patient. I check my email more than my FB! I'm very thankful to have an interview from NOVA as well. I don't want to give the impression that I'm complaining or anything. Just stressed, ya'll know what I mean 😀

I know predents isn't exactly accurate; however, I can tell by looking at the amount of interviews offered that most schools have just begun sending out invites. Some schools like NOVA, MW, and CASE are pretty much full; however, the other schools are still pretty open.

My guess is that interviews are still coming throughout September/October. I think November or "when predents gets filled" thats when its legitimate to start freaking out.

So calm down, and focus on that one interview and ACE it!🙂👍

No news is good news, dude. I still haven't heard from 11 of the 16 schools I applied to so it's gonna take some time. Like the other dude said, November/December would be the time to start freaking out.

For now just focus on prepping for Nova... let me know how it goes too as I have mine like 3 weeks after yours. haha

one was a really long shot with Minnesota and the other was UCSF. I just moved on and cross them off the list.

I still have 13 others. 2 of which i haven't even heard from.
Not even the give us money before so we can reject you email/letter.

yeah I'm in state. I"m down in San Jose actually.

I joked with my cousin that since I'm so great looking and ucsf is closer to the castro maybe its for the better. Less guys would come on to me.
UOP would be better. my hotness isn't that strong to radiant all the way from webster street. She just rolled her eyes.

But yeah not much to do except laugh it off and move on.

Anyways, OP, wait another month or so and see what happens. Even if you only get 1 interview this whole cycle, there isn't much you can do at this point 🙁 Although I am inclined to think that you'll get more 🙂

To OP, congrats on at least getting a Nova interview. Nova was my first rejection. But, it's ok. I'm hoping it's still early like the others have said. There's still several I'm hoping to hear from. Good luck everyone!
