hi SDN.
due to my school's scheduling quirks, i have only seven credits left until i am eligible to graduate, so i'm just taking two classes next semester to save money on tuition. i'm not working at the moment so my free time is going to open up dramatically.
i've submitted applications for the 2018 cycle, but i haven't gotten any interview invites yet, and i know that i need to use my extra time next semester to improve my application in case i have to reapply. but what should i do?
for context, i've got 700+ hrs of volunteering, 1300+ clinical hours from an old ED scribing job, and ~200 research hours (which i didn't enjoy much, no pubs/presentations). the only thing i'm truly "weak" on is shadowing; i haven't shadowed anyone outside of scribing. i plan to make up for this in the spring, but shadowing doesn't really occupy that much time. do you guys have any suggestions on how to fill this empty semester so i don't look like a slacker?
