Oogenesis during puberty?

Hi everyone. In the 3rd edition of cliffs, it states that oogenesis occurs during development, stops at prophase 1, and begins again during puberty to produce secondary oocytes. I have come across other sources stating that females are born with all their eggs and lose them over time (like during ovulation). Does oogenesis during puberty just mean the development of the egg that already existed, or formation of a new egg?

Quick question, when answering questions about the follicle on the DAT, should we answer them as "follicle/corpus luteum"? In Cliffs, it states that estrogen is secreted by the follicle, but in its answer to a question about what is secreted by the follicle, it includes progesterone (since corpus luteum (which comes from the follicle) secretes it).
 
Yea that's a bit weird, the follicle mainly secretes estrogen (until ovulation) and then is considered the corpus luteum which secretes estrogen and progesterone. Since the corpus luteum is formed from the erupted follicle, I guess you could technically say that the follicle ends up secreting progesterone, but the DAT will probably be a lot clearer about that distinction.
