OOS acceptance % threshold for applying to OOS schools?

Personally, I eliminated oos schools with <30% oos matriculants. If a school has >or= 40% oos matriculants I believe that's it's absolutely worthwhile for oos students to apply. However, you should read the websites of all the oos schools you wanna apply to/search sdn to find out if they prefer oos students with strong state connections, etc

Yeah I believe so bc oos matriculant % for a given year is a physical fact regardless of whether a school is public or private

But I forgot to mention: MCAT/gpa medians according to MSAR for oos public schools are misleading. MCAT/gpa for oos matriculants only is usually higher than the reported overall median. So be careful when applying oos, it's adviseable to apply oos where your stats >median stats

I'd say it's kind of a sliding scale. The lower the % of OOS, the better your stats have to be relative to average to consider applying IMO.
