I've been going through the MSAR and look at each school's % of OOS matriculated students. What percentage would you be comfortable with? I'm a cali resident so I have to apply to a lot of OOS schools.

There are so many schools to choose from!

I wouldn't focus so much on the % of OOS accepted off the bat. Focus more on how your stats compare to the average stats of the school then take OOS percentages into account and apply to higher OOS percentage schools.

My cut-off was 25% +/- 5%. Private OOS schools obviously are more open to OOS students than pubilc OOS schools.

New York public schools are most receptive to OOSers
As is Toledo

But as the person before me said, the most receptive are private schools. Although you have to be careful because some are kind of crappy (like Drexel, which interviews something like 700 OOS students but only accepts like 100 of them).
