A CA-1 dropped out in the beginning of July due to personal reasons, therefore there should be a spot available. I would try contacting the program director, Dr. Wall directly and ask if they have already filled the spot or if they simply are not planning to for some reason. If you spoke with the secretaries they might not know what the situation is.
