Gosh, I wonder what they mean by "On or *AROUND* May 1st"? Is that the AAMC way of saying, "We don't work weekends"?

Had to let that out. I feel better now.

I'm sure a lot of you guys are also hammering the site in a similar fashion to myself.

You guys can all just calm down. Between the day they open the site up, and the first day you can actually submit your application, you have over a month. You already know you should have your PS written or well on the way. The only thing you need to do is fill out your "activities" part of the application, put your grades in, and some personal info like address, etc.. That's not going to take you a month to do.

Also, if you're worried and stressed about the AMCAS opening date, you don't even know what's coming. Start breathing now or else you'll turn up purple in Oct, Nov, etc...

I checked the AMCAS website three times, and I didn't find anything stating that the 2005 AMCAS application is open

Yeah, don't wait to write your PS till you've filled out all the rest of the application (like SOMEONE I know did). And DON'T mis-spell "stethoscope" on your PS like That Same Person did (right after I submitted the application I was re-reading my essay, saw the error, and had like four heart attacks all at once. And I had had ten different people proofread my essay, too).

Good luck, all. And don't stress out too much (yeah right!) - it doesn't take THAT long to fill out. You do have a month, after all.
