does anyone know of any professors at your school (dept of ophthalmology) who are looking to take on a PhD canidate?

i'm a medical student from canada looking to do a PhD in ophthalmology

appreciate your help!

Uhh... a PhD in opthalmology? I've never heard of such a thing.

PhDs are offered in basic science departments, not clinical departments. You cant get a PhD in surgery.

That being said, some clinical departments have affiliations with basic science depts where you can work in both departments. However, the PHD you are awarded is from the basic science dept, not the clinical dept.
