Hello! I need a non-science faculty member to write me a LoR. I had a great relationship with a spanish teacher of mine, who I had for one full year. My application focuses on my love of spanish too. I have asked her to write me a letter, but I'm a bit concerned about her ability in english. Our only conversations have been in spanish. I know she can get around in english, but I'm not sure her letter will sound very........ sophisticated.

I think her message would be strong and meaningful, however. What should I do?

Personally, I'd go for it. I was in the same boat and felt like by emphasizing foreign language so much I needed an LOR to cement it in my app. If you have a central premed committee that packets your letters together, I might ask my adviser to read it over just in case...

¡Buena suerte!
