i have interviews for family medicine coming up & i would like 2 know what the opinions are out there on releasing my score to ERAS. i just received the score for my comlex level II (step2) and I passed, but just barely. the problem is that for my step 1 (comlex level I) i failed the first time & passed it the second time with not-so-great scores. now, i was really hoping to redeem myself in comlex II, unfortunately, that didn't happen. Even though this time i passed the 1st time around, the score is still not great. should i go ahead with my interviews first, then release the scores after the interview in the vain hope that it will not come up or taint the interview & i can hopefully have a chance to make a decent impression before being pre-judged. if asked during interview, i can say i passed & hope the exact score will not be asked & have them receive the score through eras after the interview. Or, should i release it now & just let them see i already passed??? also, how long does it take for them to receive the score once i release it via eras? pls advise!!! thanks !!!

If you don't release Step 2, then all they have to judge your knowledge by is a failed Step 1 and a barely passed Step 1. At least you passed Step 2 on the first try! I'd say that's worth some redemption! Also, alot of DO & primary care residencies are more about getting to know and building up trust in person (out rotation etc) with the people in charge than things like board scores. Good luck!

Ditto. You should release your step 2 and make a good impression in person. Good luck.
