Opt school schedules?

For those of you already in opt school, what are your semester schedules like? I'm trying to get a feel for how much time I'll have for breaks/vacations between semesters. Also -- and I know this depends a lot on how far away you live and your general preferences -- how often do you get home for the weekend or for breaks?

you won't get much time to go home on the weekend. (unless you're good about studying at home)

And, I'm getting a whole TWO WEEKS off for the winter break (whoo) Last year I got FIVE!!! WTH????
😡 I need it somewhere in the middle.. five is too many and two's not quite enough. I feel like it just ended (cuz it did) and I"m going back on FRIDAY!!! already!!

Wow, that was a short break! It seems just like yesterday you were celebrating the start of winter vacation! Hope you got to see LOTR-TT -- I thought it was great.

Do you end up getting less time off per year as you go on? I thought someone told me your summers start getting chewed up after your first year.

I won't know how successful I'll be at studying at home on weekends until I get into it. I'll be about 2 hours away so it's not a huge distance to travel, but it's so easy to get into the "home groove" when I'm here. I can be so inert. 🙄
