I have a couple questions for those who have received the HPSP scholarship and how it is helped, or hindered, their profession as an optometrist. Do you think you missed out on building a patient base the 2/3 years you committed to the program? If so, did this make it difficult to obtain a job in a private practice? I would be 32 once I finish my contract with the military if I went the HPSP route and received the scholarship. Any insights and comments would be much appreciate!
