Hey guys,
Here's my situation:
I'm applying to opt school for the fall of 2007. I will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science this May. I'll have a major in biology and I could potentially have a minor in math...but one of the math courses I'm doing now I really don't like. I'm not interested in this type of math and I almost sure it will probably bring down my GPA. I could drop the course, but it's too late to pick up another. So I'll only be doing 4 courses this semester and I'l have to do 6 next semester (that I don't really mind).
If I drop the course now, I won't the prereq. I need to finish a minor in math, but it's not like I need a minor in math...
I want to drop the course...but if I do this, will it look bad to opt schools? If I don't minor in math, I only have 2 biology courses left to complete so I will have 4 electives to fill up the number of courses I need to graduate, how will that look??? I'll try to do the higher level electives...
What do you guys think??? Drop it, or will it look too bad?
Thanks a ton in advance! I'd really appreciate any opinions I can get!🙂

Plus, if I drop the math course and pick up humanities electives, it opens up doors to NECO, Houston, etc.

If you drop the course, you can always explain your situation in your application. Some schools have a question similar to this: "Do you have any special circumstances that you would like to mention to the admissions committee?" If not there, then you can mention your situation in your personal statement too.
